Read this before you book anything

Your ticket must be issued by Food Africa's official travel agency. If you buy your own ticket, even on the exact same flight, it will not be reimbursed. Talk to us first. This one rule costs buyers their money every year.

Who the organiser accepts

Owners, CEOs and senior purchasing decision makers. Junior staff and general visitors are not funded.

How to get on the hosted buyer page

The registration link is locked. You need an unlock code from Kate to open it.

  1. Ask Kate for your code

Message us on WhatsApp or email. We check your buying profile, then issue your access code.

  2. Enter the code below

Type your code into the box on this page. It opens the official Food Africa registration link.

  3. Fill in your details

Company, buying categories, volumes and travel details. If you get stuck anywhere on the form, call us and we will fill it in with you.

  4. Join the matchmaking programme

This is the step that decides whether your trip pays for itself. SAIS Events is already featured inside the programme, so you land in the same room as the suppliers you came for.

Enter your unlock code

The registration link opens once your code is accepted. Do not have a code yet? WhatsApp Kate on 0722 170 385.

Buyer and supplier meeting at the expo
Step you cannot skip

Then join the matchmaking programme

Registering gets you the seat. Matchmaking gets you the meetings. This is where your diary is built, and it is the part that decides whether the trip earns you money or just gives you a stamp in your passport.

SAIS Events is already featured inside the programme. That means your profile sits next to ours and we can point suppliers straight at you.

Do this the same day you register. Meeting slots fill on a first come basis.

A company profile or website is mandatory

Every hosted buyer must show a company profile document or a working company website. No profile, no funded seat. If you do not have one, we build it for you. Email info@saisevents.com or WhatsApp Kate on 0722 170 385.

How SAIS Events handles it

You run your business. We run the paperwork.

  1. We screen you first

One short WhatsApp conversation. If your profile will not win a funded seat, we say so on day one instead of wasting six weeks of your time.

  2. We build and submit the application

Company profile, buying categories, volumes and letterhead, packaged the way the organiser wants to read it, then submitted through the official portal.

  3. We push for the flight tier

We deal directly with the organiser's buyer team and follow up until your tier is confirmed in writing.

  4. Visa and invitation letter

Most African passports need an Egyptian visa. We get the official invitation letter from the organiser and guide the application.

  5. Meetings booked before you fly

We work your supplier list into the matchmaking programme so your diary is full before you land, not after.

  6. You are not alone in Cairo

SAIS Events supports our delegation on the ground for all four days.

Apply byNow. The organiser closes the funded list once seats fill, and no public deadline is published.
Visa lead timeAllow six to eight weeks for the Egyptian visa.
Show dates7 to 10 December 2026, 10am to 6pm daily, Cairo.

Questions buyers ask us

Straight answers.

Is the matchmaking programme really necessary?

It is the whole point of going. Registration gives you the seat and the hotel. Matchmaking is where your meetings get booked with the suppliers you actually want. Buyers who skip it walk the halls on their own and come home with business cards instead of orders.

Why do I need a code to open the hosted buyer page?

We screen buyers before they reach the form. It keeps our delegation list clean with the organiser, and it means the applications we send through get accepted. Ask Kate and we will issue yours.

I do not have a company website or profile. Can I still apply?

Not without one. It is mandatory. We build company profiles and simple websites for buyers who need them, so email or WhatsApp us and we will sort it before your application goes in.

What does SAIS Events charge me?

Tell us on WhatsApp and we will give you the figure before you commit to anything. There is no charge for finding out whether you qualify.

Can I bring a colleague?

The funded seat is issued to one named decision maker. A second person can travel with the delegation at their own cost, and we handle their booking and invitation letter too.

Am I obliged to buy anything at the show?

No. You are obliged to attend the meetings booked for you. Buyers who skip their appointments are dropped from future editions, so we only put forward people who will show up.

What if I only get the hotel package?

You still get three nights in a five-star hotel, all transfers and a full meeting diary. You pay only for the flight, which we will price for you before you decide.

Is Food Africa worth the trip for an African buyer?

The last edition drew over 500 buyers from 71 countries. Cairo sits right between Africa and the Middle East, and it is co-located with Fresh Africa and interpack Middle East Africa, so produce, packaging and processing suppliers are in the same halls.

Find out if you qualify today

Send us your company name and what you buy. We will tell you within the day whether your profile is strong enough for a funded seat.
